My Mission

In the Anishinabe (Ojibwe or Chippewa Indigenous) language, AJIBIK is a type of solid rock found in the Great Lakes region.  Rock is also my Ojibwe family name, and I believe that we can create a ROCK solid relationship with our peers and supervisors if we simply learn to utilize certain common interpersonal skills.

 Throughout our careers we have opportunities to interact with countless individuals in our daily business.  Some of these interactions go smoothly, even un-noticed. Some of them go badly enough that our workplace becomes a place of unhappiness, anger, frustration, and burn-out.

These negative outcomes may be averted if we learn to become better communicators, and utilize positive interpersonal skills.

My mission is to carry these ideas to the world of work, and do my part in fostering a more productive, and emotionally intelligent work force.

Interpersonal (IP) Team Building

 

I utilize a combination of presentation and interactive learning to assist participants in learning and solidifying their IP skills in real world exercises.

 

Communication Skills Training

Most often, IP skills and communication training are conducted simultaneously to heighten the participants' learning experience. In this way, they may maximize their take-home knowledge.

 

Combined IP and Communication Skills Workshops

 

Combined Seminars may range from 3 to 12 hours and may be held at multiple sites and on multiple days. These sessions utilize a combination of didactic (lecture) and active/cooperative learning.
